The hostel area has a Soviet feel, and there's no safe locker there.

Check-in was quick, and the place works fine if you’re out all day and only need somewhere to sleep. The bed was noisy, though, and there weren’t enough lockers. None of them could be secured with a key or padlock, so our things were left unprotected.

The convenient part is the location, right by a train station and a tram stop for getting into central Bratislava. Reception staff were friendly enough, even though they didn’t speak English, which was okay. Still, I wouldn’t recommend it to solo travellers. It felt like a retirement home, with mostly middle-aged men who seemed to be long-term residents. The “kitchen” was just a fridge and microwave in the hallway, and the microwave was gone after the first night.

I only stayed one night while passing through, and picked the place because it was cheap. The location is a long way from central Bratislava, among large housing blocks in a neighbourhood with just one way in. The rooms are big, bare spaces with no lockers, and there’s only one key for each room. You have to leave it at reception when you go out, so you can only get it when staff are there. Roommates can also lock the door from inside, which could leave you unable to get in if you return late. Staff don’t really speak English either. I’d read the reviews and knew what to expect, but still want to say I don’t recommend staying here to visit Bratislava. I’m glad I was there for just one short night, and wouldn’t come back even though it’s cheap.
