The place is clean and cozy, and the food and drinks are good. The owner is wonderful, helpful, and happy to suggest places to visit. Beauty just keeps turning into splendor.

We really enjoyed our stay here. My husband and I loved the great breakfast, with something different each day, and the owner was lovely, caring and helpful. The guesthouse has tastefully furnished, comfortable rooms with a village feel. Though it's beside the road, it's quiet and you can't hear the traffic. The nearby stream adds a lovely feel to the evenings. I definitely recommend it.

For our week's holiday in the Low Tatras, we picked Encián, a romantic log cabin with a lovely garden. Our room was perfectly clean, and the owner was friendly and helpful. Breakfast changed every day, and you could order dinner, sit with a beer or coffee, or buy souvenirs. Add the very reasonable price, and I can only recommend this guesthouse.

The dinners were delicious, varied home cooking, with garden vegetables and homemade products, including chicken soup the host herself picked. The homemade fruit-filled jams and yogurts were especially good. You can buy the jams and other treats there too, like honey, products made from it, and dried mushrooms. They also have lovely souvenirs by local craftspeople and beautiful original jewelry handmade by the host herself. If you're passing by and need a gift, it's worth stopping in. Thanks to both owners for a pleasant stay. The guesthouse sits in a beautiful setting, with a landscaped garden and a babbling brook you can hear from your room with the window open. The host is kind, hardworking and helpful.
