Wellness Hotel Bystrá

A good spot for a hike or a ski trip, and family friendly too. The staff were lovely, and the hotel was nice and clean. The food was great, compliments to the cook. The water in the wellness area was clean and warm, and we really enjoyed both the pool and jacuzzi. There are several sauna options, including dry Finnish, infrared, wet, and salt.

A really nice place, with lovely staff. Natalia at reception was especially kind, and Svetlana, the waitress, was very nice too :)

We were staying at a nearby apartment, where we got free two-hour passes for this hotel’s water world. They looked completely legitimate, provided by Hotel Bystra and stamped and signed by the hotel on the back. It seemed like a nice chance to try the place and see if we’d want to stay here on a future trip. When we went to use them, we were told they were only discount vouchers, despite the wording on the front saying they were free entry tickets and making no mention of a discount. We were asked to pay almost the full price. We would have done that, but the cashier was so rude, especially Lubica Geregaiova, that we didn’t want anything to do with the place. It felt like a scam to get guests from nearby private accommodation to come to the water world with what looked like free tickets, then surprise them with a hefty bill. The staff, including Lubica, seemed fed up with people turning up with these vouchers. A total disappointment. I’d have been happy to pay full price, but left feeling scammed and unwelcome.

We’re staying across the street in an Airbnb and came here for spa treatments, not a hotel stay. Marianna gave me a terrific massage. The spa was clean and well run. It cost 30 euro for 45 minutes, and was well worth it.
