The kitchen was usually free when we went in, since not many guests seemed to cook, and it had good pans and cutlery. Our clean room also came with a mini-fridge, which was handy because we planned to cook. It’s an affordable pension in a good location, with good rooms. The High Tatras are 10-30 minutes away by car, depending on where you start your hike. We had a great stay.

The owner needs to treat guests better. We also found the kitchen poorly equipped, with no oven, and trying to make a meal for friends with what was there felt like a Hercules task. The house doesn’t suit a longer stay for a larger group, though it might work for a weekend. The beds are only 180x80 cm, which seems wrong for Europe, and this was the worst New Year’s Eve accommodation I’ve had. Not worth the holiday price.

Our room looked out toward the mountains, and it was easy to get around to different places from here. A nice, clean, quiet spot to stay.
