It’s a nice, clean room, and the place is close to the turnoff for Čachtice Castle. You can walk about 3 km to get there, or drive and then walk around 1.5 km. It’s a pleasant uphill walk. Breakfast wasn’t available, even though the booking page said it was.

We left after saying thank you and goodbye, but nobody at the counter even looked up or answered. Earlier, when I asked in English for two mugs of beer because we don’t speak Slovak, the bartender gave me a look like I’d said something offensive. I thought about leaving right then. “Beer” seems like an easy word, and German has a similar one. It is a pub, after all. The other bartender told her the Slovak word was “pivo,” and we did get our mugs. What was the issue?

The rooms are very nice, and the location is convenient, right in the center. There’s a supermarket nearby, a bakery across the street, a pizzeria downstairs, and a restaurant on the other side of the road.

The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the building itself is lovely. The location is beautiful too, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
