The rooms are reached by stairs, so Penzion Marina won’t work if you need a handicap accessible stay. The place was clean and tidy, though, and the staff were welcoming and attentive. It’s right in the center of Dolny Kubin, which is a great location.

Service was quick, the staff friendly, and the bathroom clean. The tiramisu was nice, and the pizza was good too. They serve what customers want, I reckon, including Slovak traditional meals with traditional taste. The interior could use a radical refresh.

I only went to the restaurant, not the penzion, but the food was amazing, especially the pizza 🍕. It’s made by an Italian chef and tastes heavenly. Easily the best pizza in town. If you’re hungry and have a bit of time, stop by.

We had to wait quite a while to pay after finishing, though the place was full, so it was understandable. Everything else was lovely: the food tasted very good and looked great when served, and the staff were nice and helpful. The Italian espresso Bontadi was good too.

I'm a tour leader from Poland and often bring my tourists here from Vienna. For me, this restaurant has the best food in Slovakia. I especially recommend the lamb marinated in herbs.
