Penzión Furkotka

We used to come to this restaurant whenever we stayed at kempinski hotel at Štrbske Pleso because the food was always great. Today was shocking. The place was full, with eight people waiting, so I politely asked staff how long it might take. I was shouted at that they had no idea. I said it would have been nice to at least be greeted and told we’d get a table once one was free. A few minutes later, a blond hair waitress came over and rudely announced in front of everyone that she’d give me a table soon. When I asked if that was how she spoke to customers, she shouted that they were busy and overworked. It was a horrible experience. We left, and I’ll make sure the concierge at kempinski knows so he doesn’t recommend the restaurant to guests. Shocking!

The food was great, and the waiter did a good job. The tattooed waitress’s attitude was borderline, though, and she might need a day off. Still, thank you.

I loved my room, which seemed to have been renovated recently, and the location is perfect. The cafe, restaurant and pension make a great combination in town. Amazing!

We only had time for soup, but it was delicious, and we’ll definitely come back to try the other meals. It’s a cozy, pleasant restaurant, the staff are friendly and smiley, and the food arrived quickly.
