You can watch the sunrise from the house, and the view is really beautiful. It’s also easy to reach on foot. The place was very nice, clean, and quiet, and it didn’t feel crowded even when fully booked. Breakfast was tasty and had a good variety.

I’ve never stayed in a hotel before and was really impressed. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the price is affordable. There are lots of hiking options around Donovaly, with beautiful scenery all around.

I visited in summer. It’s okay for a couple of days as a base for trips around the area, but there’s absolutely nothing to do in this small ski resort town. I really don’t recommend buying breakfast. The six euros are a waste.

I can’t recommend this hotel. It’s inflexible and not guest-friendly, and the communication from their side was unacceptable. We asked to move our stay to dates two days before check-in, but they wouldn’t allow it and charged us 50% of the booking for nothing.

We spent one night in Donovaly at Villa Gloria. The room was small, but clean and had a nice modern look. The property is about 1 km from the main road, and parking was no problem. If you just need somewhere to sleep while spending your time outdoors, it’s a very good choice.
