Chata Zemplin

It’s sad to see responsible people grouped together as a risk category. Maybe this place is meant for a select clientele. The other photos speak for themselves.

We were happy with everything at the accommodation. The kitchen had what we needed, and there was air conditioning. The owner was quick to help whenever something wasn’t working, including our TVs. There’s a pool and Zemplínska Šírava nearby, and we went every day. Our room also had a beautiful view. The one thing we missed was a net on the balconies.

The listing says pets are allowed for a fee, but they immediately rejected our Stafford and asked us to cancel a reservation we’d already paid for. If you have a dog, don’t bother trying to book. Now I’m waiting 7-14 days for my money back, which is great right before a vacation. To the owner: either stop accepting pets or say clearly that you only want small breeds. Don’t let anyone else get caught out like this.

The rooms are spacious, and there’s a big dining room plus a gazebo with a grill and refrigerator. Stronger air conditioning would have been welcome.
