Hotel Bankov

We were five, with children aged 6, 4 and 1, and spent one night here. The room was spacious and clean, breakfast was delicious, and we had fun in the swimming pool. Everything else was fine too. The weather meant we couldn’t use the outdoor playground, which I regret. We’ll definitely come back if we’re in the area.

The hotel itself was lovely. Its elegant design, clean rooms and calm atmosphere made a strong impression, especially after our long journey. We travel often and appreciate the care that clearly goes into making the place comfortable. It’s hard to write this, and it took us time to do so, but what happened at the spa crossed a line for us. From the first question we asked, where the jacuzzi was, the male spa employee answered in an irritated, almost angry tone. Near closing time, we were in the jacuzzi and about to cool off in the pool. At 8:55 p.m., five minutes before the stated 9 p.m. closing, he rushed in and sharply told us to leave right away. Another guest was still in the pool area. He got angrier and chased us out as though we were criminals. Even if we had lost track of time and stayed until 9:01, that way of speaking to guests would still be unacceptable. We understood that he might want to finish his shift, but the posted hours were until 9. When we went to change and collect our things, he came into the women’s changing room without knocking or warning while we were still inside. It felt invasive and violated our privacy. He also got furious that we’d used the lockers, although there were no signs or instructions about them and nobody had told us at check-in or at the spa that we couldn’t. As we left, he followed us all the way to the elevator and kept scolding us for not doing things “correctly.” We felt creeped out, humiliated and unsafe. We left shaken instead of relaxed. Staff can have a bad day, but this was aggressive, unprofessional and crossed personal boundaries. If guests are expected to leave before closing, please make that clear instead of getting angry at people using the spa during its stated hours. We love the hotel and hope this was an isolated incident with one person. We’re not trying to attack the property, but we hope management discusses privacy, clear rules and basic respect with the spa team. This happened on 22.10.-23.10.2025. With respect, Linda

We were there for a wedding, and it was beautifully organized, with lovely decorations, food and service. The staff were helpful both before the event and during our stay. There are nice woods and walking paths around the hotel, and the room had everything we needed. I hope we get to come back!

We travelled a long way to meet our friends here and didn’t regret it. The people were nice, the room very comfortable, and the spa was amazing. The food was tasty and breakfast was really good. Definitely recommend it.
