Hotel Villa Bianca

I paid for this stay six days ahead, then got a brief cancellation message less than a day before check-in. No call, explanation, alternative, or real apology, just a cold note saying the booking was cancelled and wishing me a nice day. I had to contact the hotel myself and try to get answers, then scramble to find somewhere else at the last minute. That’s not what I want from a vacation. Cancelling a confirmed booking at the last moment without giving a reason is completely unacceptable, and it left me feeling I couldn’t rely on this hotel.

A small, quiet hotel that was very clean. There’s private parking, and the city center is close by.

The room was really spacious and nice. Having a kitchen in it is great if you’re staying longer.

The rooms were fantastic: spacious, with a small kitchenette and loads of storage for clothes, shoes, and pretty much everything else. Cleaning was nearly daily, but they only vacuumed and cleaned the common areas. The sheets and towels weren’t changed. The location is convenient, with shops and restaurants near the city center. Communication and service were much less impressive. Staff could speak English when it came to payment, but for maintenance help, hotel services, or suggestions for places in town, I had to rely on other guests or Google Maps. I kept needing Google Translate to sort things out. Front desk staff were absent around 90% of the time, at different hours, and the basic communication and language support needed at reception were lacking. The in-room jacuzzis seemed to be decorative. I was told the public one was working on a day when we couldn’t get to it, while on other days, when nobody was using it, we were told it wasn’t available.
