Penzion Via Mara

The standout for me was the long running and cycling path starting just around the corner, about 18 km long. There’s plenty of room for kids to play, plus ping pong and pool are included in the price. The manager was friendly, the rooms were nice, and it’s a very good experience overall. It’s not right by the city center, so I’d take a car or public transport rather than walk to the main square.

We spent four days and three nights here for our first holiday together, and we’d love to come back, maybe for an anniversary. The little river just behind the garden made the place feel magical, and there’s loads to do nearby, from Tatralandia and caves to mountain walks and horse riding. The pension was beautiful and clean, with a well equipped kitchen, a roomy bed, soft duvets, and an extra blanket if you get cold. Towels were wonderfully soft, the bathroom had hot water and plenty of toilet paper, and there were cups in all sizes, even little ones for celebrations. I can’t comment on the rooms, service, or Wi-Fi, since I didn’t stay as a regular guest. What I can say is that the owner is a good man. I was biking around the Tatra mountains a few days ago when a festival filled every room in the city. It was getting late, and after knocking on door after door, I reached Penzion Via Mara. They were fully booked too, but the owner let me sleep in the garden for free, without asking questions. It wasn’t my best night, but I got through it and continued my trip the next day. Thanks, Via Mara. I came away with a good memory.

Rastislav, thanks for the stay and hospitality at pansio Via Mara. The location is handy, close to the Skibus and Tatralandia, and the rooms are good sized with comfortable beds and a clean kitchen. There’s also a sauna, billiards, ping pong, and a fireplace.
