Breakfast was a real highlight, especially the coffee. It was so aromatic and full of flavor, one of the best cups I’ve had in a long time. The staff were warm and attentive from the moment I arrived, and the room was clean, comfortable, and well equipped. For the level of comfort and service, the price felt like great value. I’d happily stay at Penzion Hoffer again.

The room was spacious and clean, and the staff were really helpful. There’s a little kids’ corner with toys, and the restaurant downstairs is very good. Breakfast was the one weaker part for us, with fewer choices than we’re used to.

I was sorry to see the old dark wood interior at Hoffer replaced with white paint. It gives the place a wintery feel, and I preferred how it looked before. Still, the food has always been great, with huge portions and everything freshly made and delicious. The location is scenic too. I first started coming about 15 years ago and have made a point of stopping by on my trips to Slovakia while staying with family in Trnava. I hope to visit again on my next trip to SK.

The food is good, but I found the restaurant’s white interior way too much. Even things that would normally have different colors, like the saddles, wheelbarrow, iron, and decorations, were painted that odd streaky gray and white. It made me feel like I was in a black and white movie.
