Hotel Srdiečko

We had food at the hotel restaurant and coffee in the lounge. It's a cozy, beautiful place, with interesting interior styling and a great mountain view. The food was delicious, and the staff were super friendly.

The staff were the nicest surprise: mostly young people, all extremely polite and welcoming. The hotel itself was clean and lovely, with beautiful surroundings, a great breakfast, and a lovely spa.

Skiing straight from the hotel was fantastic, and the bar had a good drinks selection and a great atmosphere. Reception were friendly and welcoming too. But meals were a letdown: breakfast quality seemed questionable, and after trying dinner once, we ate elsewhere for the rest of the stay. Housekeeping was poor as well. The shower gel was already half empty when we arrived, and the towels and bed linen weren't changed during our stay. The air system didn't work properly, so we had to sleep with the window open. By morning, strong kitchen smells had filled our fourth-floor room. The TV also didn't work, which was frustrating. Hotel Srdiečko has real strengths for skiers, but the food, housekeeping, and maintenance need work.

The only snag was that after 4pm, you couldn't get to the other side of the mountain, so night skiing wasn't possible. Otherwise, we had a great trip. The hotel was perfect, with our own ski room cabinet, reasonably priced drinks at the bar, and nice non-a-la-carte dishes. The wellness area was clean and quiet, and the outdoor hot tub was awesome later in the evening. The waiters were great, especially Peter, who made our third night. Thanks so much to him and everyone.
