We were looking for somewhere in a hurry and ended up here, but it wasn’t pleasant and wasn’t worth the price. The ground-floor apartment smelled, perhaps from hidden mold, and there was no way to air it out because of the stench from the cats the owner feeds right under the window. The furnishings were old and the beds uncomfortable. At night we heard trains and crossings, and there were lots of barking dogs around. The neighborhood wasn’t nice either.

It felt like we’d been deceived. For 55 euros, the place offered a cardboard-hard bed, cheap furniture that seemed straight from the 90s, and a terrible kitchen, toilet and shower. It’s squeezed between the railway on one side and the highway on the other, with nothing around and no supermarket. The center is a long way off. There’s a sweet grandmother there, which might make some people feel bad about leaving a negative review, but in my view the price should be around 20-35 euros a night. We later rented a room for 50 euros right in the center, on a quiet street among the forest, within walking distance of the presidential palace and Bratislava Castle, with birdsong. Disgusting. Look for another place on Airbnb.

I’m really satisfied. The owners were pleasant, and it’s a private, quiet part of BA.

Such a lovely lady, and an encounter I won’t forget. She was so helpful and welcoming.
