Hotel Pod Lipou

The waiter was kind, smiling, and attentive at the right moments, and even the restrooms smelled fresh and were very clean. The meal was a treat: creamy sweet potato soup with pistachios, a juicy steak with broccoli and a great gravy, then coffee with vanilla cheesecake. We had an outstanding experience at Hotel Pod Lipou Resort. It would work well for a date, international guests, or a team event, and I highly recommend it.

The gardens are attractive and the rooms are well furnished. The owners clearly put money into the building and decor, but the food was mediocre, and someone thought it was a good idea to paint the kids' swings while children were using the playground. The check-in mess was the biggest problem. We were there for a wedding, but staff couldn't find my booking until I showed my Booking.com confirmation. We got a room two hours later. When I got sick, my wife went to check us out and pay for her lunch, but they charged her for the room again. Reception had cancelled my son's direct booking and payment, made over a year earlier, and given him my room despite our different first names. After a lot of arguing, they agreed to refund us and search their files. Eventually they found his booking and proof of payment. We learned other people had been through the same thing. It's an absolute joke, and I certainly wouldn't stay there again.

The weather turned, but Hotel Pod Lipou had enough indoor spaces and activities to keep our gathering going, and our friends enjoyed the food, friendly bar service, escape rooms, and archery. When the rain stopped, people could use the outdoor sports areas too. We held a family and friends event for about 90 people, with a tasty grill buffet, indoor and outdoor games, and plenty of beer on tap. The management, especially event Manager Ms. Matejova, was fantastic to work with. I appreciated the communication, planning, and professionalism from the staff through the preparations and the event itself. I'd recommend it for a fun company or family get-together with activities inside and out. None of our group stayed overnight, so this is just about the event spaces and planning.

Really cosy place, and I was happy with it. Beach volleyball and the Thai massage were the best!
