I liked the views and trails around the place, and it was a good way to stay outside the crowds in Bratislava. I'd like to come back in September when the wine trail is in full swing. A few restaurant waiters seemed uninterested, which took away from the atmosphere a bit. The woman serving us at lunch was the opposite, very polite and warm, though I can't remember her name.

We enjoyed the restaurant, especially the amazing mushroom risotto and great white wine, and the area was lovely for walking our dog. The service was nice, rooms were cheap, dogs were welcome, and there was even a dog show while we were there. There’s a riding school next door, two ponies on site, a big playground for kids, and parking. The room was very basic and only okay for cleanliness. It was on the second floor with no lift, but worked for one night. Breakfast wasn’t very fresh and was mostly meat. Fresh orange juice, fruit, or even fresh jams would have been nice.

The dining room had good food and service, and they brought me a kettle and glasses when I asked, even though they weren’t in the room to start with. But I was worried about my things after finding my room left open all day, with a key in the lock and no service staff inside. There was no apology. Maybe leaving a guest’s room unlocked is normal here, but it shouldn’t be. The room was dusty, with hair around, and the shower was dirty and broken. I asked them to fix it and clean the room, especially the bathroom. They repaired the shower head but didn’t clean.
