Wellness Hotel Lvnwe

We arrived in Piestiany late with no booking and, following a local recommendation, got one of the hotel’s two available rooms. They offered us a special rate for the night, and the rooms themselves were great. Mine even had a jacuzzi on the terrace. But while unpacking, I spotted a small mouse by the fridge. We told reception; they searched and didn’t find it. I slept fine and didn’t see it again. What really disappointed me was how the staff handled it. At checkout the next morning, a man who seemed to be in charge was arrogant and impolite. He said we had come there looking for trouble and didn’t believe our account of the mouse. I’m not saying the hotel is the worst or that the rooms are awful. I’m writing because of the way we were treated, especially by the person responsible, who was rude and even accused us of causing trouble.

The location is great, with restaurants close enough to walk to, but I’m unsure I’d return. The wellness facilities didn’t feel worth the price. They advertise three hot tubs, but two were out of order over the weekend, leaving only the pool one. It could fit three people at most, so when more than one couple was at the spa, not everyone could use it. Our room was clean and a decent size, though the bathroom smelled awful. The internet was advertised as high speed, but the connection was so bad we could barely use it. Breakfast was okay, but there could be more choices for people avoiding gluten or dairy. At checkout, the receptionist didn’t ask whether we’d enjoyed our stay, which I think is a basic thing to do.

The staff were nice and helpful, but the air conditioning in the room we requested didn’t work properly. The rooms are spacious, though without working air they felt stuffy. The safe was broken at first, but they fixed it after a day. We noticed some hotels on the spa island near the Vah River were cheaper, and regretted not booking one of those.

The place was clean, and the staff were really nice. Still, it was good rather than worth the money. We skipped the restaurant after seeing the menu. It was just the same generic “modern” cuisine you find in countless places, with nothing distinctive, and I’m tired of that sort of thing. The wellness area also disappointed us. The whirlpool was a bit messy, and the pool area was noisy because the AC kept running.
