Tavel Boutique Hotel

It's a small, simple, family-run hotel in a perfect location, and the reception staff are nice. Free parking is a bonus. The rooms feel nearly outdated and there's no air conditioning. Breakfast is very basic, and espresso costs extra.

We had a great stay and would choose Penzión Tavel again next time we're in Prešov. It's a cosy, very nice hotel right in the city centre, and our room was sparkling clean with everything we needed. They cleaned it every day, and free parking was available for guests. Breakfast was tasty, hearty, and had plenty of variety. The staff were friendly, attentive, and incredibly helpful with our requests. The service was top-notch. Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We were lucky to find Pension Tavel. It's downtown and close to lots of restaurants, yet still quiet enough for a good rest. Our room for two was on the third floor, with tea, coffee, and an electric kettle. The building has an elevator, and guests can park for free in the hotel yard. A big thank you to everyone working at Pension Tavel. You made the place feel so welcoming and friendly, and that special atmosphere has us wanting to come back. It was a pleasure visiting, and we hope to see you again!

We stayed in January 2020. The room was clean, but that was the only thing we liked. When it was -5°C outside, the radiator in our room was cold, as if they were trying to save on heating. At night there was nobody around to complain to. By morning the heaters were on, so when you raise the issue, you look like an idiot because they act as if they don't know what you're talking about. The soundproofing is terrible. You can hear everyone walking above you. Breakfast was the last straw: two scrambled eggs, no bacon or sausage, and just a quarter of a tomato on the plate. The coffee was awful too. Don't trust all the positive reviews. If you have to stay there for some reason, don't pay in advance. Wait until morning and think it over.
