Hotel Squash Centrum

The staff were nice, and I appreciated having a little fridge and free parking. The room itself was disappointing: it was very warm with poor ventilation, and the worn mattress made me roll toward the edge. The pillow was flat, and the odd layout left nowhere good to put my bag, even though I was alone in a double room. The shower felt made for small people, and the gym cost extra.

The bus stop is right outside, and you can walk to the town centre without much trouble. My room was clean and warm, and I also tried the sauna, which seems especially nice in fall or winter. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Since I had to leave before the kitchen opened on Saturday, they even made an extra snack for me.

I felt at home here very quickly, and the staff were lovely. The rooms could have been tidier, and my blanket smelled awful, so I didn't use it. There was free parking right in front, and most rooms had a fan, which was useful in the hot summer weather. On a rainy day there's plenty to do indoors, from squash, table tennis, billiards and bodybuilding to relaxing in the jacuzzi or sauna. Recommended.

The three full-size squash courts behind the hotel explain its name, and some rooms sit beside them on a mezzanine, which could bother anyone hoping for an early night. Otherwise, it's good value for both a stay and a meal. Service was friendly and efficient, and they understood English. Breakfast can be continental or cooked, both decent.
