Puchov is a very pretty town, and from the pension in the centre you can get around quickly. But the staff were extremely rude and didn’t speak any English, despite the website saying they did. I believe Mr H.K. is the owner of Korona pension, and I found him particularly rude. The rooms were clean, but the wall colours and design really need the attention of a good interior designer. Booking was difficult because we didn’t know what we were booking, and communicating with the pension was very hard.

At night there was only cold water, and there was no proper reception, just an intercom outside the building for contact. The soap was the cheapest kind available. The hall and several rooms had an almost nauseating smell of vomit. If you have any dignity, find somewhere else.
