Hotel Malá Fatra

The best part is that access to the Aphrodite Spa pools and sauna world is included in the price. The hotel was nice and clean, though I'd call it more of a pension.

The pools were fine, and I have no complaints about them. Electrotherapy was fine too. The food, served at Aphrodite Spa, was okay but monotonous, almost the same every day and without fruit. The massages varied a lot: a little more and I could praise half the staff. One shorter woman and two male masseurs were good; the rest mostly just stroked, and one didn't even give me a towel for the table or my hands. The rooms seem frozen in time. We had a dirty carpet, and for 28 days there was no peace, it was like living at a construction site. A high-lift truck drove along the sidewalk several times a day, with dust and noise. Our rooms were cleaned disastrously, at most twice during the stay. We only had the beds made when an older lady was in charge. There were cobwebs, and the balconies couldn't be lit so we could sit outside in the evening. After lunch it gets boring, with nowhere to go. The ground-floor room used as a dining room is closed, but turning it into a common room would help. This is a dormitory, not a three-star hotel. They're clearly living off past glory. I would never return for a treatment stay. This calls for an audit, and management should think about whether they want to provide services in this area.
