The sauna area needs attention. Of the four saunas, only the Finnish and Salt ones were really working, and there were tiles coming loose. We also saw an exposed electric cable on a wall in one sauna, and the whirlpool was damaged. The sauna costs an extra 5€. There is a relaxation area and ice water, but maintenance overall was poor. The pool at Hotel Diplomat, a four-star hotel, is 1.30-1.80m deep. This is just a review of the pool and sauna, and I wouldn't expect too much from the pool.

The view from nearly every room is lovely when the weather's good, with the beautiful nature around the town. Staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was very satisfying. One sauna and the tropical shower in the spa weren't working, which was a bit disappointing. Luckily, it wasn't crowded, so we still had options for where to go.

We got good service, and the room was nice. It was a little away from the centre, which kept things quiet, but everything of interest was still within walking distance. The food options could be more varied, and the wellness area could use some renewal, so four stars.

The setting is still lovely, in the middle of nature and in a small spa town. We used to love staying here for the spacious apartments, large pool, decent kitchen and bowling. These days, though, the hotel's quality keeps slipping while prices rise, and that gap has become too much for us to overlook. It needs a major refurbishment. The mattresses are worn out, the wellness centre feels outdated, and allowing smoking in part of the bar is outdated too. Even though smoking is limited to one section, the smell gets everywhere. Such a shame.
