We stayed a couple of nights over New Year’s Eve, and it was a great family guesthouse. Our two bedroom apartment was spacious and simply but nicely equipped. The bedding was fresh and clean, though the pillows and mattresses could be better. The owners were very friendly, and Nicole speaks English fluently. We were even offered their skiing equipment. Breakfast was excellent, with lots of freshly prepared choices, vegetables, and fruit. We asked for a bit of Christmas decoration in our son’s room, and Nicole kindly brought some. There’s spacious parking, and the ski resorts are only minutes away. We’d be happy to return in summer.

There’s plenty to choose from at breakfast, and I enjoyed the garden playground as well as the darts, ping pong, and billiard in one of the buildings on the grounds. The rooms and the rest of the property were clean and good looking. This accommodation is handy for visiting Vlkolínec, which is quite accessible from the pension.

We first came here last year with a group of mountain bikers from Denmark, and we’ll be back again. Nicole, Stanislav, and Jerguš are fantastic hosts, and the staff are so helpful. The pension sits by the river, with clean, well kept rooms and a cozy yard with an outdoor grill area. There’s a kids’ playground, ping pong table, and billiard to keep you busy. Stanislav serves traditional Slovak food, draft beer, and local wine in the restaurant. The mountain air and sound of the river make it easy to relax and cool down. Highly recommend!

The owner was kind, and the place was cozy, spacious, tidy, and quiet. We couldn’t find anything wrong with our stay. Just go and enjoy the nature all around you.
