My friends really enjoyed the food at this restaurant in Ruzomberok. The setting is pleasant, the service is great, and the staff are friendly and ready to help.

There’s a cute little shop split into two sections: souvenirs on one side, and tasty bread and pastries on the other. They also sell local beer and cheeses. My only gripe is the saleswoman, who seems to behave as though she’s being punished by having to be there.

Their own Ursus brewery makes honestly brewed beer, which deserves a mention. The gift shop and bakery are worth a look too, with excellent bread and sweet or savory pastries baked on site. There are traditional cheese specialties as well, plus sweet jams, syrups, fragrant gingerbread, ceramics, hand-painted magnets and folk toys.

Whenever we stop here, we pick up some of the homemade goods. Besides bread, there’s bryndza, tvaroch, korbáčiki and lots of other products. They also have a souvenir shop.
