The rules for families with children under 12 were a real problem for us. Kids could use the pool only until 19:00, and both the pool and spa opened late in the day. I couldn't find these restrictions on Booking when I reserved, and even after the manager told me to read the hotel policy, I still couldn't find them on the website. Keep this in mind if you're traveling with younger kids. Booking says children over 6 pay as adults, but they still can't use all the facilities and eat much less. I've stayed at many hotels and haven't come across rules this restrictive. I wouldn't come back. The location near the Tatras was nice, though.

We'd gladly have stayed another night just for the half board. Dinner was that good, and the staff were kind and helpful. The room was clean, but smaller than we expected and felt cramped. It was also very hot because the temperature was centrally controlled, and the pillows were really uncomfortable and need replacing.

After a day exploring, we loved relaxing in the wellness area, especially in the outdoor hot tub. The jacuzzi, sauna and spa treatments were great too. The hotel was peaceful, clean and well kept, with beautiful mountain views and attractions in the High Tatras just a short walk or drive away. Breakfast and dinner were both delicious, fresh and high quality, with plenty of choice. Hotel Hills in Tatranská Lomnica exceeded our expectations from the moment we arrived. We'd love to come back!

The pool was crowded and noisy, with a bar where the bartender kept playing Bruno Mars videos on the TV. The wellness centre didn't open until 4pm, so much of the day was gone. We went into town instead, but reception couldn't arrange a taxi and told us to walk the 40 minutes. That might be fine for young, mobile people, but not for everyone, and taxis are easy to find. At dinner, the buffet wasn't suitable for vegetarians, and we had to ask each time for a dish to be made for us. The location is stunning, the hotel is modern, and the price is good for a four-star stay. But during check-in we were sent to four rooms, 323, 324, 218 and 219, and every one had long black hairs on and inside the pillows. It was disgusting and not clean at all. We were ready to leave. The desk staff weren't helpful, but eventually a manager came, gave us fresh pillows and complimentary prosecco. He was the only professional person we met.
