We had three nights at Penzion Bado in August 2016 and really enjoyed our stay. The owners gave us a friendly welcome, and everything was modern, clean, and comfortable, including our room. Meals were very good and the portions generous. There was plenty of parking beside the hotel, and we got helpful advice about nearby mountain walking routes. We’d happily return and recommend the hotel. Five stars all round. Steve (England)

The setting is beautiful, and the view from the guesthouse is priceless. The food and service were excellent, and the cafe next door was great too. The equipment is a little dated, though. I’d think about replacing the beds, and there was no mat to step onto after a shower. It’s around 3 km from the train station, which is fine if you like hiking. We were happy with our stay, and the children got to explore the beauty of the Tatras.

The food and service were very good, and the staff were willing to advise and help even inexperienced hikers. The guesthouse has a lovely view of Lomnicky Stit and is well placed for getting to Lomnice, Smokovca, Belianske Tatry, Poprad, and other places. There’s something for everyone here. We’ll definitely come back in summer.
