Vila Polar

We were very satisfied and would come back. The breakfast had a wide choice and was generous. Our modern, clean room had a nice view from the window, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We communicated in English. It's a lovely place with magnificent panoramic views.

The upstairs bar was a real highlight, with books, games, and plenty of drinks to choose from. Try the Slovak wines! The place itself is peaceful, and the staff are super welcoming. Our room was small but clean and had what we needed. Breakfast was very nice with lots of options. The Wi-Fi could be stronger, though my unlimited phone data meant it wasn't an issue for us. We loved our stay at Strbske Pleso.

We were close to everything but still had a peaceful stay, about 500 metres from the centre, and there are hiking routes starting nearby. Our room was clean and comfortable, with its own shower bathroom and a lovely view. The little top-floor bar had an even better one. Staff were friendly and tried hard to help, even though their English wasn't very strong. Breakfast had eggs, bacon, vegetables, bread, tea, juice, cereal, fruit, and sandwich meats and cheeses. Sauna and jacuzzi access costs extra.

The bar on the 8th floor is well worth a visit. The views are amazing in both summer and winter, and drinks arrive quickly at reasonable prices. It's a welcoming place to share stories from climbing trips or just about life. Vila Polar also felt cozy and friendly throughout.
