APLEND Hotel Lujza Major

The reception sent us all the information we needed for arriving after midnight and checking in late. Our room was pleasant and clean. They also let us leave our bags with them for a whole week after we had trouble with the lockers at the previous bus station. The location is great, close to the main bus station. 5/5.

The breakfast was a real highlight for us, especially the local cheeses and range of fresh fruit. The hotel is conveniently located, and our room was clean and comfortable. I also want to thank the young woman working reception on the afternoon of August 7th 2025. I had a medical emergency, and she called emergency services and translated between me and the doctors. I'm sorry I never learned her name. I hope she sees this and knows how grateful I am.

Breakfast was nice, and being close to the ski slope meant we didn't have to pay for parking. But don't come here if you want a comfortably warm shower. Between 15:30 and 19:00 there was no warm water. Everyone comes back from skiing then, and the water heating system clearly wasn't adequate. The water was only lukewarm, and we had to wait until after 19:00 to shower. They didn't offer any voucher for dinner, the sauna or anything else to make up for the inconvenience. I enjoyed the ski trail, but I won't stay at this hotel again. The building has two doors, and after 19:00 you need your keycard to enter. The back door can be opened without a key. There's a ski room in the basement, but if you're worried about your equipment, I'd leave it in the car or your room.

The location is very good, and breakfast was okay, though it wasn't to my taste. The rooms at the APLEND hotel felt run down, with leaking taps and a fridge that barely cooled anything. For all four days, our room got no natural daylight because a van was allowed to park right outside, as shown in the photo. I tried to raise it with reception, but they said complaints could only be made by email. I sent two emails and unfortunately got no reply to either. It's a shame the manager doesn't seem to value customer service.
