The setting is top notch, and from outside the cottage looks pretty cool. Inside, though, that's where the appeal ends. One bathroom had mold, and neither bathroom had cleaning products. I don't even want to guess whether it was disinfected. It had only been tidied up at a glance, with cobwebs everywhere and dirt elsewhere. For €15 a night, I'd expect more. It was also unsettling to have the owner constantly walking back and forth, since the entrance was shared. So much for privacy...

The location gives this cottage real potential, and the place itself is basically nice, but it seems like maintenance has slipped. For example, the gate in the fence is way past its best, though a few hits with a hammer might be enough to fix it. Having a toilet and shower in every room is a plus, but there's no proper ventilation. The toilet bowl, doors and walls are affected by mold, and ventilation goes through the room where you sleep. When the water pressure is low, you can't flush, which is annoying. Parking is also a problem. You're left encroaching on the road used by cars working in the forest, near the entrance to the public paid parking lot, while there's lots of unused space behind the cottage. The owner was pleasant and responsive when issues came up, but I was surprised when he asked during our stay whether we'd be staying in the cottage, because he needed to load boards onto the balcony.

It looked nice from outside, but inside you smell mustiness everywhere. During your holiday the landlord walks around the cottage and even into your room when you're not there, as happened to us. After seven, the hot water stopped working. We put up with it, but never again. Thanks.
