The service was great, and the food was delicious. The wellness and treatments were a nice extra.

The rooms feel badly equipped and stuck in the past. There was barely space to stand beside the bed, everything was olive green, and there were no amenities. The lighting was harsh and fluorescent. There wasn't a holder for the shower head, so you had to stand in the bath and hold it yourself. The beds were basically hardwood with a thin foam mattress. The “Wellness Centre” felt more like a USSR internment facility, with more fluorescent lighting and no atmosphere. Forget a relaxing massage with incense, it smelled strongly of chemicals instead. The reception staff were unprofessional, unhelpful, and rude. When we arrived, the girl seemed more interested in browsing rubbish on the internet than helping us. The bloke covering at night wouldn't even book a taxi into town. I'd never stayed at a hotel that refused to book a taxi before. We didn't eat dinner at the restaurant. Breakfast was edible, nothing more. This place felt like going back to the 1970s. Avoid at all costs!

Many film stars stayed here back in the days of the Trenč.Teplice Film Festival. It's a well-run hotel with wellness and spa, though a bit old-fashioned. They offer good 3- and 5-day stays with half board, including a generous Scandinavian-style breakfast and a choice of three dinner dishes. There's a tiny pool, sauna, and steam bath.

The food is absolutely amazing, and they've recently hired new chefs. I couldn't wait to taste it, so I only remembered to take a photo of dessert: chocolate cake with poppy-seed ice cream. Mouth-watering! Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
