Hotel Velka Fatra

The location works well if you're planning to spend most of your holiday at the aquapark, and there's a discount for it. The WiFi was good too: downloading a 40-minute Netflix episode took about eight seconds. Downstairs, the tiles and chairs look modern, though the tablecloth hangs so low that an unlucky spill can leave you with drinks and food on your lap. The staff were okay, fairly nice. The dining area was the worst part for me. The floor was sticky and made it feel like some filthy public toilet. The food was all right, but not really tasty, and the baguette I had for breakfast was rock-hard. A convenience-store baguette would have been better. Our room may not represent all the rooms since we had the last one, which was probably the worst. The bathtub was so narrow that bathing was difficult. The sink was awful and hard to ignore: at around 165 cm tall, it came just below my waist, making anything at it uncomfortable. The door hit the lower bed when you tried to close it, so it wouldn't shut. The toilet door had a key but couldn't be locked, and its handle didn't look great. That's all I've got to say. Enjoy your vacation.

We stayed there in December with our baby, who was one and a half months old. The service, staff, and food were all great.

Beautiful all around, from the rooms to the service and food.

Really, really, really good.
