On 19.12.2025 I mainly wanted a quiet night's sleep for 50 Euros, so the room being spotless and the reception staff being friendly were welcome. I got a free upgrade to a large upstairs room and a discounted rate through the booking site. The place has real potential, though it was partly damaged by a fire recently. There was no restaurant on site, and wellness wasn't important to me. What got in the way was the noise. Sound insulation was basically nonexistent, and until evening guests kept slamming the IR sauna door on the same floor. The wifi was also unreliable. Through the fireplace glass you could see into the room, which seemed like a strange idea. The breakfast room felt like a school canteen, so I decided on the spot to drive down to the valley and skip the included breakfast. There's potential here, but quite a few things need fixing first.

We had a great time as a family, and there are plenty of amenities to keep the kids occupied while the adults get a little chance to relax. The traditional Slovak restaurant was good value for the price, too. It has lots of character and originality, with none of that soulless corporate hotel feel. A real Slovakian experience in the heart of Slovakia. I'll stay here again with my family next time I'm in Slovakia.

The spa is in a separate building and has a sauna, two jacuzzis, a relaxation area, and a small bar. The interiors are modern with rustic wooden touches. There are different room types, and the attic rooms are especially cosy and unusual, reached by a long wooden staircase and centered around a big window looking into the forest. Dinner and breakfast were included with our stay, served buffet-style so you can pick what you want. Try to arrive before closing, though, since some dishes may be gone by then, especially Slovak classics like halušky. The resort sits in a beautiful natural spot in the heart of Mala Fatra National Park. A mountain stream runs along one side, and the modern, rustic buildings extend into the hillside. Parking is split across several paved lots, with more spaces on the road beside the stream. There is also a covered garage for motorcycles, which was great. A pretty place with lovely nature, good food and relaxation, and great service.

The wellness area was pretty good, and I'd recommend it after a long day in the mountains. The restaurant and accommodation, though, could use some work. The food disappointed me. The garlic soup had cheap ham in it, and even the halušky were served in what felt like a cheap way. I've had better food in a mountain shelter. Our room stayed at 26-27 Celsius degrees, even at night, and opening the windows didn't help, so sleeping well was difficult. There was no hot water in the morning either. Maybe we just had bad luck. I'm not sure I'd come back or recommend the place to friends.
