Penzion Smrek

The hostess was so kind and saved our holiday at the very last minute after our earlier booking fell through because of the other guesthouse owner's unprofessionalism. We were very happy here and would gladly come back. The room was new, clean, attractive, and warm, with a bathroom, fridge, and TV. There was also a fully equipped kitchen, a shared lounge, a gazebo, parking in the courtyard, and a ski room. The price was excellent.

The rooms were roomy and clean, and each one had its own fridge. The kitchen was shared but had all the equipment we needed. It's a handy base for hiking in the mountains, with two shops nearby and a restaurant close by that serves good food at fair prices.

We were out in the mountains and surrounding nature all day and only came back to sleep, so the hard beds were the one big letdown. There was just a very thin mat with no cushioning underneath, and every hard board could be felt separately. Such a pity. Otherwise, the guesthouse was OK and I'd have happily recommended it: the locals were friendly, the accommodation was clean, the bathroom and toilet were tidy, parking was easy, the Wi-Fi worked, and the fridge was quiet.

The price is hard to beat. The hostess was lovely and easy to talk to, and the place had a pleasant feel. My room was clean and nice, with a roomy bathroom. There was a clothes-drying rack on the balcony, and I appreciated having a fridge in the room.
