The pool was filthy, with hair in it and dirty sides covered in old oily sediment, as the picture shows. The hotel was generally dirty, unprofessional, and poorly staffed. They ran out of both towels and hot water, so there was no hot water and no towels in my room. Check-in took two hours because staff weren't prepared for large groups and everything moved very slowly. Payment took four cards. For these rates, above European standards, this puts the Radisson name to shame. There are better options in town, or you could stay somewhere with this standard for 5x less per night. Shame on you, Radisson!

This was my second stay, and one of my worst experiences at a Radisson in Africa. Lunch took two hours to arrive, and they wouldn't let me charge the restaurant bill to my room. There was no hot water for two days. I requested two beds but got one, and the property is quite dated. My belongings were stolen from the hotel parking lot. Only one towel was provided, and the second took hours to arrive. The key card repeatedly failed, so I had to get a new one. There was a long check-in line, prostitutes in the lobby eyeing customers, and hotel security wouldn't call a taxi. I was told to park far from the lobby, and nobody helped with my luggage.

The beachfront location was perfect, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great, too. The staff were professional and welcoming, especially Rebecca at the reception, who was so helpful and friendly. I had an excellent stay at Radisson Blu Hotel, Freetown, and would definitely return. Highly recommended.

The hotel handled my reservation terribly. I booked months ahead with payment due at the property, then they asked me to update my credit card details, which I did. Even so, they canceled the booking the morning before I was due to arrive. They just sent a message saying it was blocked, offered no help restoring it, and by then it was full so I couldn't book again. I wouldn't trust a reservation like that.
