I used to come here nearly every Friday evening. The live band was talented, and there was a big buffet with tasty food, including grilled lobster and other seafood, all for one set price. If I remember right, it was about 12-13 USD. Nice spot by the sea in Aberdeen.

The restaurant is still open, though the hotel itself isn't operating right now because it's being renovated. They put on a buffet every Friday, and I had some of the best Sierra Leonean food here. I came back with friends, and the quality was just as good.

The food and peaceful atmosphere are the reasons I'd recommend staying here. It's very quiet, with a lovely sea view. Now called Sierra Bay, it could use a little cleanup around the rocks by the water to make that tranquil view complete.

There's free Wi-Fi in the bar and in some rooms, and the hotel has reliable power and hot water. The food is decent, with both local and Western choices, though it's much more expensive than local restaurants. Breakfast is pretty good too, which is a rare treat in SL. Probably the best hotel you're likely to find in Freetown at the moment.

A lovely setting by the beach, with a great atmosphere and really good food. I'd definitely recommend the place. Try the apple crumble for dessert, it's so good.
