The Lead Hotel

The gardens were beautifully kept, and the flowers were gorgeous. We also loved the pool, especially the water temperature, though closing at 7pm felt early in the warm weather. The automatic backup generator was a real plus when the power went out. We were a family of five in two executive rooms for a week over the December 2025 holidays, and one room was upgraded to an executive suite, which was a lovely surprise. The rooms were spacious, clean, and had all the amenities we expected. A special thanks to the kind, helpful housekeepers who looked after us when my daughter had travelers' diarrhea. The food was very good, but breakfast felt repetitive and could use more choices. The restaurant music could use some work, too. Staff throughout the hotel were kind and helpful. New Year's felt a little dull, and it would have been nice to have activities, but it wasn't a major concern. I'd recommend this lovely place for family or business travelers wanting Western amenities. Thanks for a wonderful stay in a beautiful country!

My stay was a lovely experience. The staff were friendly and worked hard, and I was given a free upgrade to a huge, very comfortable, fancy room. It even had a washing machine. I do hope the hotel owner will raise the employees' salaries!

For our 20th anniversary, we stayed at The Lead, and it was the best hotel experience we've had in our ten years in Sierra Leone. The beautiful surroundings felt carefully put together, and we loved the clean, inviting pool and wonderful food. Our room was spacious and clean, and the beds were surprisingly comfortable, so we slept really well. The service was excellent, too. The staff gave us room to relax while still being ready to help with anything. Definitely worth a visit.
