Grand Hotel San Marino

Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing to request an internal investigation and a written reply about several serious problems during my recent stay. A member of housekeeping tried several times to enter my locked room on the morning I left. I felt unsafe, and the intrusion into my privacy was unacceptable. I also left two bottles of Sensai Foundation in the room, each worth €65. I checked out at about 10:30 but didn't collect my suitcase and car until 1:30 PM. Housekeeping had not turned the items in to reception, which raises serious concerns about how guests' belongings are handled. A few days before I arrived, I was told that the higher-rated hotel I had originally booked was under renovation. It's questionable that the work wasn't known well in advance, and the late notice suggests a lack of transparency in the booking process. Taken together, these incidents fall short of reasonable expectations for guest safety, protection of personal property, and clear communication. Please investigate and send me the findings and any corrective actions. I also expect an explanation of who is responsible for the missing items and appropriate compensation. The location made it easy to walk into the old town, and there are shops nearby for evening snacks and drinks. It's a quiet hotel, with a balcony looking out over San Marino and Italy beyond. Valet parking was useful here. I researched the few hotels in San Marino quite a bit before going, and this one looked like the best option. I wasn't disappointed: it has wonderful views, clean rooms, and good facilities. Breakfast was good, though it could have been better. I'd certainly recommend staying here.

We picked Grand Hotel San Marino for its location, and it proved to be well situated. Our room was very clean, thoughtfully laid out, and had a breathtaking view. The restaurant was superb, and the staff gave us helpful suggestions for seeing the sights. We used valet parking, but later realized long-term San Marino parking was only a short walk away and would have cost less.

The hotel was in a great spot with a stunning view. We explored old San Marino on foot, including its amazing city and tower fortresses. The city is unbelievably cool, full of alleyways, cobblestones, arches and churches, with views over distant towns and the valley. There are nice hiking trails too. Our room was very comfortable, and the staff were pleasant and helpful. I'm glad we found this hotel in such a magical place.
