The rooms are clean and comfortable, and it’s easy to walk to many places downtown from here. There’s only a tiny lobby, with space for 2 or 3 people to sit, so if you need to meet as a group, ask whether you can use the restaurant across the street. The hotel and restaurant have been here a long time. I think my first meal here was in 1997, and my most recent visit was in 2025. The Lebanese food is delicious, with lots of choice, and the outdoor dining area has a charming feel. The breakfast buffet was very nice too.

The restaurant across the road serves a breakfast buffet with plenty for anyone who likes sweet food, though there isn’t much for those who don’t. Service there was friendly and polite, and the atmosphere was good. At the hotel, the receptionist was helpful and polite, and the beds were comfortable, though the rooms felt a bit run down. The tap water smelled moldy, unfortunately. It’s a place you can stay for a night, but I’ll look elsewhere next time.

I really like this area, and the staff here were super friendly. It’s a nice place to have lunch by the pool, either lounging there or sitting at one of the tables. The food is really great. It’s very close to the US embassy and about a half hour taxi from downtown.

Restaurant Farid is one of my top picks in Dakar. The Lebanese food is delicious and good value, and it draws a diverse Middle Eastern crowd, which makes for an authentic cultural experience. The team gives you a warm welcome and attentive service. I also like the pleasant setting and live music. You can order online, and delivery is timely. The menu is satisfying as well as tasty, and the dessert is a must-try if you want a sweet finish.

One of my favorite restaurants in Dakar. I really like the tasty Lebanese and Arabic dishes here. It’s a great place for an oriental iftar in Dakar. Amazing.
