Chambres d'hôtes Centre Ville

We rented two suites and six rooms for our family, and everyone staying in local hotels was jealous of how lovely our place was for the price. I didn’t take many photos of the rooms, but the ones I did get show that Chambre d’hôtes is just like it looks online. The rooms and suites were amazing value and went beyond what my family expected. There was so much security, and all the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, from the doorman and night staff to the cleaners. Khadija was especially wonderful. She kept smiling, helped with all my questions, and made sure the rooms were spotless and supplies topped up. My kids loved the staff and were sad to leave. There are lots of amenities, and getting a taxi or car right outside is easy. It was about 20 minutes from sea plaza mall, with plenty to do and a beach. Honestly, I have no complaints and just hope there’s room for us when we come back.

The apartment has everything you need for a couple, even for a month-long stay: air conditioner, microwave, fridge and freezer, gas stove, utensils, coffee maker, kettle, and iron. It’s self-catering, and you need to recharge the electricity. There’s good parking, a Shell station convenience store, and Sandiga market close by. Auchan is perhaps 1.5 km away. Breakfast was decent.

Great value, and they sorted out all my taxis. The room stayed cool, with a huge bed, fluffy pillows, and a powerful shower. Breakfast was fab. There’s a water fountain and coffee machine in the atrium, plus ATMs and a 24-hour service station shop just a two-minute walk up the street. 🤩

The friendships with other residents turned out to be one of the best parts of my stay. I met people from other countries, became real friends with some of them, and we’ve kept in touch since the trip. It reminded me of the original idea behind AirBNB, and it’s not the sort of connection you usually make in a hotel. I was there for over a week with an economic delegation from my country. My fellow delegates paid five times as much for hotels without getting much better service. Chambres d’hôte centre ville doesn’t have some hotel extras, like its own restaurant or a pool, but the things that matter were as good or better: comfortable rooms, clean bathrooms, responsive staff, free wifi, and in-room TV with shows and series from around the world. The price for what you get is probably unbeatable in Dakar. Mr. Dieng, the proprietor, was very responsive and usually available on WhatsApp, whether I needed help with the AC or a reservation change. He also arranged a taxi to the airport the night before my flight. A cleaning lady came daily to freshen the rooms and common areas. Mr. Koulibali, the doorman, didn’t speak the same language as me, but was always expressive and enthusiastic, which made my stay more enjoyable. I had a positive experience overall.
