There are several pools, which gives you options for relaxing, and the resort sits right by the beach with easy access, though the beach is shared. The room was quite small, and some basics, including an iron, were missing. I also felt the staff could have been friendlier and more attentive. A few small improvements would make the experience much better.

The kitchen staff were courteous, and the food was good. The hotel is large, with a pleasant atmosphere and a good beach view, but it could use a facelift and some basics expected at this level, like tea or a heater. There were no irons, and laundry didn’t open until 8:30 in the morning, already late if you’re getting ready for an event. One staff member asked me to leave cash as a deposit to borrow an iron, while other hotels have irons in every room.

The hotel has improved and provides good service. The gym is good, though it has no squat rack or pull-up bars. Basic items such as irons and hair dryers aren’t in the rooms and require a deposit.

The location on a good beach in Saly is very convenient, and the rooms are okay if you keep your expectations low. The staff, especially at reception and among the waiters, disappointed me most. I’d arranged and received confirmation for a late checkout well in advance, but on checkout day I was told it wasn’t valid unless I could name the reception staff member who confirmed it. I didn’t know their name, and the whole thing left a bad taste. On another day, I asked reception twice to send a bottle of water because there wasn’t one in the room. It never came. I’d also organized a small cocktail at the hotel for my colleagues, and saw a waiter put his fingers inside a glass while serving drinks.
