We rented the apartment connected to La Résidence Hotel through AirBnB. It’s a very spacious, comfortable two-bedroom place in Almadies, larger than we expected. The location is great for walking to the beach, grocery stores, and restaurants, and hotel pool access comes with the apartment. Everything listed as an amenity was there and worked well. Housekeeping twice a week was included at no added cost, and the backup generator meant power outages weren't a problem. It was a convenient, comfortable stay in Dakar, and we’d book it again.

There was a problem with the balcony sliding door that never got resolved. Still, the hotel had a security guard at the entrance. The pool was lovely, and the location was a bonus. Adama, Doudou, and the other friendly staff gave us a warm welcome.

The breakfast was good for the price, and there are several bars and restaurants close by. Bahia beach club is worth a try, about a three-minute walk along a sandy road. The rooms are nicely set around the inner garden and pool, and most of the staff were friendly. Construction next door could be noisy, but it didn't spoil our stay.

We’ve now stayed at La Résidence twice over the past 10 years, and enjoyed both visits. The rooms are roomy and comfortable, especially with kids, and the pool was clean and looked inviting. The front desk speaks English, which is helpful. So many good restaurants and grocery stores are an easy walk away. We’re already looking forward to coming back.

A calm, clean room and shops and restaurants close by made this a great stay. The staff were very welcoming and nice. Thanks, DouDou, I’m looking forward to staying here again.
