Yaas Hotel Dakar Almadies

The breakfast was the same every day, and the room was much too small. Water from the leaking shower ran across the floor into the living area. Those are the main reasons I wouldn’t stay here again.

For Dakar, where hotels are very expensive, this place is good value for money. The staff were friendly and the food decent. It’s close to the old airport and fine for a couple of nights.

The staff at reception were all cooperative and friendly, and I had a good experience overall. The rooms are good, though small. The restaurant is expensive, as the city itself is expensive, but you can buy cheaper food outside.

The complimentary breakfast was lovely, with English, continental, and even Senegalese dishes. The rooms were clean and fairly spacious, with good, powerful showers. Staff were very friendly and all spoke English. It’s a fairly new, modern hotel in a good area, with plenty of decent restaurants and bars nearby. I paid £70 a night for a single room with a Queen bed, which seemed reasonable for a major city and a good location. Highly recommend.
