The rooms were nice, and the pillows were wonderful 👍. The setting is peaceful, and the pirogue ride over was lovely. The staff were nice too, but I wouldn't go back. We arrived on Jan 2nd and were the only guests, just two couples, despite being charged the higher “high season” rate. The beachfront furniture was broken or dirty, activity areas were neglected, and there was cow poop around. The food was poor: the à la provençal dishes were shrimp or calmar in marinara sauce, which wasn't what I'd expect at a highly rated resort. Breakfast was disappointing too, with stale bread and croissants and really bad crepes. Eggs cost extra, and you only get one “glass” of water with breakfast; any more drinking water costs extra. The location is beautiful and has lots of potential, but the price is too high for the quality.

The setting was beautiful, and the seafood tasted so fresh, like the sea. The food was cordon-bleu level. Lucienne and her staff gave us such personal attention, they made us feel like celebrities. We left with wonderful memories.

The rooms are great, and the setup is beautiful. Eleonor, the manager who lives on site, and Adama, who handles catering, were both very friendly. It's a comfortable, eco friendly hotel and a great place to stay if you want to explore the islands.

The pool right by the ocean was an absolute win for me. I only had a salad, but my friends liked their entrees too. Loved this place!

Dinner and breakfast were delicious, carefully prepared with local products. We had another lovely overnight stay at Hotel Keur Papaye on Dionewar, in the Sine Saloum region. The whole team welcomed our group warmly, and their professionalism, helpfulness, and kindness make for an authentic, friendly atmosphere our travelers really appreciate. The rooms are comfortable, nicely furnished, and well-equipped. As organizers of trips and tours from the HOUÉFA camp, we care a lot about the places we include in our programs. Hotel Keur Papaye is a great fit and an ideal base for exploring Dionewar Island and the surrounding area. Thanks to the team for taking such good care of us. We look forward to coming back.
