The rooms could use more maintenance. I gave it three stars just for the food and the nice people.

Mary and I spent seven nights at Keur Yakaar and plan to return. The staff were so kind and helpful, and breakfast was delicious, with bread baked right there. Abdoul, the night watchman, is an absolute sweetheart. The meal the students served was exquisite. I highly recommend staying here.

It’s a pleasant restaurant, especially the shady area by the pool under the big trees. The local juices are very good. The food itself was pretty average, which was a shame. My advice is to wait until classes start again, when it’s always better.
