We had a wonderful time with Henry, his family, and friends. They were incredibly attentive and friendly, and the place gave us a chance to share time with locals while still having our own space. That's what we come to Senegal for, along with comfort rather than luxury. The setting is calm and peaceful, with a clean room that can be cleaned on request. There was no pool, but we could spend the day at a nearby lodge for 2000 CFA francs per person, and the sea is close by. We had water, electricity, internet, and an all-inclusive package at an unbeatable price. We could choose what we wanted to eat, and lovely Marie cooked delicious local dishes. Fantastic value for money.

Henri made us feel so welcome and attentive care from him helped make the stay memorable. My husband and I had an idyllic time at Palmarina Sunset, right on the lagoon, surrounded by breathtaking scenery. We highly recommend it.

The sunset was wonderful, and the host was very friendly and attentive, but that couldn't make up for everything else. From the photos, we expected rooms beside the water, but they're on what feels like a vacant lot. A muddy lagoon is nearby, and you have to cross it to reach the ocean, which we couldn't even see. The accommodation is recent but poorly maintained: the terrace had collapsed and hadn't been cleared. There was no electricity in the room at night, and the fan's charge lasted no more than 3 hours. The shower water smelled like cat pee. A huge disappointment.

The view from our room was immersive and exceptional, and the lodge was very well kept. Henri welcomed us warmly and was happy to suggest activities for our next days. A wonderful experience, highly recommend.
