This hotel is handy if you’re heading south toward Sine Saloum or the Gambia. The bus station is right outside, so it’s easy to find a sept-place, and there’s a big grocery store nearby that stays open until midnight. Before we arrived, the receptionist was easy to reach with questions through WhatsApp and Booking. They also arranged a transfer from Dakar airport for 25.000 CFA. Our room was spacious, comfortable and spotless. Breakfast was good, and the rooftop terrace has a nice view.

I came across Turaco Hotel Mbour at a gala and would definitely recommend it. The setting is magnificent, the room was well equipped, and the staff were attentive and friendly. The catering was excellent, with hot dishes served on time and nicely presented. Its location in Mbour, away from the bustle of Dakar, makes it a good choice for a memorable event. I recommend it for weddings, galas, and seminars. Sincerely, CAPO VIP 😎

Touraco only opened in January 2025, so a few things still need work. If your room faces the street, expect noise at night. It’s across from the bus station and surrounded by lots of activity, and the window is so thin it feels like you’re outside. The bed was comfortable, the pool was nice, and the gym is very large. It’s also close to the Auchan supermarket. I was disappointed to find a spoiled dish that had been sitting in my fridge for a long time, and breakfast was really disappointing. Even so, the value for money is good.
