The staff were really helpful, which is the main thing that saves this review. The bed was very hard, and anything mounted on the walls felt loose. The swimming pool was extremely dirty, with no circulation. In most places this would be a two-star hotel.

Our room was burgled while we were asleep, and management seemed to think we had stolen our own belongings. They never apologized, and I lost more than 3,000 euros' worth of things. The room safe didn't work, while the outside lights had been switched off, so the cameras couldn't show the thieves. They also never followed up to say whether the police had found our stuff. What a joke. Avoid this place.

I stayed here on a business trip and came away with only good impressions. The rooms were cozy and cleaned every day, and the friendly staff were ready to help with anything. It’s well located in Sao Tome, and breakfast was pretty good, with fresh fruit and juices. Great value for money, and I’d happily recommend staying here. For nearly $150 a night, I expected more. There was no kettle, bottled water, tissue box, writing table, or drawers in the room. The air conditioning didn’t work and took a long time to get fixed. Then the cheap plastic toilet handle broke in half, and that repair took even longer. I thought the hotel had comped me a few beers while I waited, but after checkout my driver got a frantic call from reception asking us to come back and pay for the three beers. Not a class act. And the bugs were everywhere.
