Lali Beach

The ocean sounds at night and the calm atmosphere made this a really relaxing family getaway. Lali Beach is on a private beach, and both sunrise and sunset are lovely to see. We found the place welcoming and comfortable, with good food and drinks and cordial, attentive staff. My family and I had a wonderful stay and will definitely come back.

The dark sand beach and the Pacific Ocean made this feel like a very different kind of vacation. Lali Beach is a special place, and I loved the privacy and beauty of it. Service was excellent, as were the food and drinks. The rooms were comfortable and had all the amenities, so all I had to do was arrive and relax. I’d definitely recommend it.

The beds were really comfortable, the air conditioning worked well, and the pool was clean. You can hear the waves from your room, and the property opens right onto the beach. There are plenty of places to lounge, and both the owner and staff were kind and accommodating. The food was tasty and reasonably priced. Lali Beach was clean, new, and lovely, and we had a very comfortable stay. I highly recommend it.

We had no complaints, everything was great. The staff were excellent, friendly, patient with our broken Spanish, and busy caring for the property all day. I’m not sure whether they speak English, though the WiFi was good enough to use Google Translate. The room and grounds were clean and well maintained, with a hammock and ocean view on the balcony. The air conditioning worked well, but there was no hot water in our otherwise nice shower. The beach is reached directly from the property and feels private. The sand was soft and rock-free. The waves were big, so swimming may not suit everyone, though you can wet your feet. Food cost around $10 to $20, a little expensive but understandable since ingredients have to be brought in. The seafood soup was very good. There are no nearby restaurants, though we saw a few small stores along the dirt road. Drinks at the bar were delicious and reasonably priced, and the mango margarita was perfect. We drove about 10 minutes on a well-maintained dirt road without potholes. It wasn’t difficult at the start of rainy season, and our compact rental SUV had no trouble. Parking at the hotel is free. There seem to be seven rooms, and on our weekday visit in the tourism shoulder season, we shared the resort with just one other couple. We booked directly on the hotel website, which was cheaper than third-party sites such as Booking.com.
