Casaola was our favorite place in El Salvador, where we stayed around Christmas. We loved it so much that we returned for two extra days after checking out, and we hope to come back again. The people made it special. Mattie and Kyle, the cleaning team, the cooks, and everyone else made us feel welcome right away. You can tell there’s care in how the place is run. The rooms were spotless, the beds comfortable, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and the common areas were lovely and relaxed. It was easy to meet other guests, but also easy to have your own space. The beach is just five steps away, and everything nearby felt easy and calm.

Kyle and Matty were helpful, laid-back, and resourceful, and the kitchen girls made great dinners and açai bowls. The room was clean, the air conditioning worked well, and there’s a nice pool, cool hammocks, and lots of interesting guests. At night we swam with the jellyfish, made a fire on the beach, and enjoyed the stars. The locals are really friendly, and there’s great local fruit too. Tourism is still pretty new in this area, so I’d suggest learning some Spanish. Awesome place, I’d definitely come back.

Matti made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived and set a great tone for the whole stay. The rest of the staff were fantastic too, and the food was superb. This place is amazing, and I’d recommend it to anyone traveling to this part of El Salvador. 5/5, definitely coming back!

Casaola Mizata was an incredible stop during my travels in El Salvador. It was clean and comfortable, but the volunteers and staff are what made it memorable. They were so friendly that the place felt like home. If you want a laid-back getaway, I’d absolutely recommend it. Laundry service is a nice bonus.

The outdoor area was a lovely, relaxed place to hang out, and there’s a nice bar and restaurant with drinkable water available for self-service. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Our room was right beside the common area, so we could hear other guests talking, and the shower didn’t have hot water. Even with those two downsides, we had a great time and would definitely recommend it!
